This guide is too long-witted, I have posted a shorter one here.
You can go to this PQ via:
MapleStory (Gms) Magatia PQ
Party Quest Requirements
This PQ requires a party of exactly 4 members level 70 or above.
- a Thief with maxed haste (or someone with 120% Jump)
- a Magician with maxed Teleport.
When the you're creating a party, ensure that your party must consist at least 1 Mage with Max Teleport and 1 Thief with Max Haste, or a person with 120% Jump and above (a person with the capability to do the Jump Quest).
If your party members don't fulfill these requirement above, your party will stuck in Stage 4.
Your party leader talk to Juliet to begin the PQ.
Stage 1: Mysterious Lab
Have everyone click on the hidden books scattered throughout the room. If you stand too far, you will not be able to investigate the hidden areas.
This stage do not have monsters, so you don't need to worry about dying in there. Everyone in your party has to go around and click the books that scattered around the stage.
How to click? Like this:
You have to stand in front of the books to click them.
How to click? Like this:
You have to stand in front of the books to click them.
- When you double click on the hidden books, one of the following possibilities may occur:
- Nothing
- You will obtain 500 EXP.
- You will obtain 500 mesos.
- You will obtain Romeo's Letter or Juliet's Letter, which should be given to the respective NPC in Stage 4.
- You will find a switch that should be pressed to progress.
If you stand too far and you click those books, this is what you get.
If you found the switch, activate it and the portal leading to Stage 2 will appear next to the NPC.
If you found the letter, just keep it. It will get some use in Stage 4.
- Romeo's Letter
- Juliet's Letter
Once the switch is pressed - regardless who in the party - a portal leading to Stage 2 will appear next to the NPC.
Stage 2: Dark Tunnel/Corridor
This entire map will be shrouded in darkness, except for a small radius of visibility around your character.
Now, the battle begins when you step in to Stage 2 where the entire map is shrouded in darkness, with a small radius of visibility around your character.
Eliminate all the Homun and Cyti when you see them.
10,000 EXP will be given once you and you party members slay all the monsters, proceed to Stage 3 through the portal.
Inside Stage 2, the room looks something like this.
- Kill all the Homun and Cyti in this map.
- You will gain 10,000 EXP when all monsters have been killed, so continue to the next stage through the portal.

Stage 3: Unpleasant Lab
In this stage, you will see 3 beakers and more Homunculus which has a very high spawn rate. Your job is to hunt them for the Susicious Liquid to fill it in the beakers.
Things to Take Note:
Each beakers has a crack, so when you fill the Suspicious Liquid into the beakers, the beakers will leak and you are given limited time to fill it until it is completely full.
- Kill the Homunculus in this map and have each of your party member gather the Suspicious Liquid which it drops.
- Fill the three large beakers in the room with the Suspicious Liquid. However, be warned as the beakers will leak, thus it is advised that you have each party member put it all in one beaker at the same time.
Once all beakers are filled up, you will gain 20,000 EXP, so continue to the next stage through the newly-opened portal.
How to do it? There's a common strategy that everyone has learnt it:
Have everyone in your party to do killing-spree job. When you see some Suspicious Liquid, don't put them into the beakers unless your Leader ask you to do so.
Once the whole map is flooded with Suspicious Liquid, then your Leader will ask you to flood the beakers with it, then you just have to wait till it is fully occupied.
20,000 EXP is given once you and your party members completely filled up the 3 beakers, and proceed to Stage 4 through the portal appeared at the right-side of the map.

Stage 4: Special Lab
In this stage, you have to hunt the Card Key, which is dropped from Neo Huroid. Card Keys are used to open the doors on the left and right side of the stage.
These doors are allowed for a party member that has meet the requirements of each room, and they have to do it individually.
- If you have managed to obtain a Romeo's Letter or Juliet's Letter in Stage 1, give the letter to the respective NPC.
- Kill the Neo Huroid in this map until it drops a Card Key. The Card Key is used to open the doors on the left and right side of the map - the left door is for the Thief with maxed Haste or a character with 120% Jump, while the right door is for the Magician with maxed Teleport, both of which consist of jump quests of sorts in a darkened area as in Stage 2.
Left side is for a member who has Max Haste or a member which possesses 120% Jump only.
Right side is for a Max Teleport Mage.
Inside the room, it is like a Jump Quest, added with a dark area. There is only a small radius of visibility around your character. Once the members are inside the room, they will experience 100 HP depletion for every 3 seconds, so they need to have their HP pots ready for this.
At the left room, the character needs to go towards the top platforms and hit the boxes to look for Alcadno's Experiment Files - potions and mesos may drop instead. At the room on the right, the Magician should teleport around to locate Zenumist's Experiment Files in the boxes.
For the members outside of the room, this is the tedious part. Once your member in the room alert you that he has just obtained the file and wants to come out of the room, you have to place the Card Key in front of the door. Having Neo Huroids wandering around the ground floor makes it harder for you to place the Card Keys.
I suggest that the members outside of the room should clear the Neo Huroids earlier or lure these things away from the door to place the Card Keys.
Once you placed it, tell them and they will ready to exit from the room quickly.
20,000 EXP will be given once your leader hand in the two files to the respective NPC.
- Apparently, 118% Jump and above are able to do Jump Quest.
- If you have the Letter that you got it from Stage 1 earlier give it to the respective NPC.
- Alcadno's Experiment Files
- Zenumist's Experiment Files

3. It is recommended to be ready with a Card Key when a character is ready to enter or exit the respective door - the rooms behind both doors deplete a character of 100 HP every 3 seconds.
4. At the left room, the character needs to go towards the top platforms and hit the boxes to look for Alcadno's Experiment Files - potions and mesos may drop instead. At the room on the right, the Magician should teleport around to locate Zenumist's Experiment Files in the boxes.
5. It is also recommended that one player is sent to either room at a time. When the player is ready to exit it, other players outside the room should be ready with a Card Key to ensure that the player is out quickly.
6. Hand over both files to the NPC and proceed through the door to the next stage.
- If you have given Romeo's Letter or Juliet's Letter to the respective NPC in Stage 4: Special Lab and wish to fight Angry Frankenroid at the last stage (to also initiate other related quests), you will need to follow the following instructions carefully: One party member should slowly walk forward in the map (before the monsters spawn) until a small part of Yulete is seen. Have that member double click on him, and choose the bottom choice of the two available. If you go past him, the regular Frankenroid will only spawn at the last stage.
- Fight the Reinforced Iron Mutae and Reinforced Mithril Mutae that will spawn in this room.
3. Once all monsters are killed, the party leader should click on a book that acts as a switch to proceed to the next stage. 20,000 EXP will be given for clearing this stage.
Alternately, you can click the books for the switch even your party haven't eliminate the monsters completely.

Stage 6: Lab Tunnel
There are four doors that lead to jump quests that all four characters will have to do. There are four platforms in each 10 rows in each room; there is only one correct platform in a row that will send you to the next row, while the other three platforms will send you back to the bottom.
You will see 4 chambers that only let 1 person per chamber, that means the party members have to divide into 4 and work together to reach the top in their own selected chamber. Inside, there are given 10 row and 4 platforms. To go up 1 platform level, press the directional keys (Up) and you will found yourself transported 1 level higher than the previous one. Only 1 correct platform will lead you up 1 platform level. If you choose the wrong platform, it will transport you back to the starting point.
1 method is drop items (eg. 10 meso) to remind yourself which one is the correct platform.
There's another method for reaching the top of the chamber. The requirement of this method are:
- The teamwork of your party members.
- A knowledge of Elimination theory.
Yes, Elimination theory. The technique looks similar to playing sudoku. If you never play sudoku, then try it. In what way does the theory applied? I show you how.
First, look at the platform stated with numbers.
Let's say the combinations are:
Room 101: 2222 4444 11
Room 102: 1111 3333 22
Room 103: 4444 2222 33
Room 104: 3333 1111 44
Eg: In Room 101, when I found that the 2nd platform can transport me up 1 level, then tell your members the code: "2". So that your member won't try the platform you mentioned earlier. Your members will also tell you the code so you will know which one won't bring you up 1 level.
Don't forget that the combination are random for each PQ.
If you still don't get it, go play sudoku to gain the knowledge. I can't explain any longer, seriously.
Proven. Tested by me.
Quote:
There's no way to quickly do it, but it's easier to do if everyone in the party shouts out what number they did
for example
Platform 1 Platform 2 Platform 3 Platform 4
---------- ---------- --------- ---------
This game is like sudoku, when someone else did the number you don't need to do it anymore.
Say I used platform 3 to the next platform, i will yell out 3, so that the others don't try out number 3.
That's why yelling out in the pt channel is good
like 1423 4422 11
Like this others will know what numbers you have done so that they won't try the number
Thanks to you, I won't be a noobie in stage 6 anymore! You gain 20,000 EXP after completing this stage.

- For the same row in each room, if one platform is correct for one room, it will be the wrong one for the other 3 rooms. For example, for row 1 (most bottom), assuming the platforms from left to right are labelled as A to D, if A is correct for room 1, then A for row 1 would definitely be wrong for the other 3 rooms. As such, it is important for party members to constantly update other members by typing in the chat the correct platforms in their own rooms using an earlier agreed method: perhaps communicating by using digits or letters, and so on.
- The combinations are random for each PQ.
- Completing this stage will net you 20,000 EXP.
Stage 7: Center Lab
1. When all your party members have finally gathered at the Center Lab, one or two players (depending on your party members) should be assigned to protect Romeo or Juliet - that platform will contain two Neo Huroids at any time. Ideally, it would be better to have someone who can freeze (Ice/Lightning Mage), stun (Outlaw), or use Puppet to lure the monsters away (Ranger/Sniper).
2. Talk to Urete to summon Frankenroid or Angry Frankenroid (depending on what you have done at previous stages), who will in turn, summon Reinforced Iron Mutae and Reinforced Mithril Mutae.
Magatia PQ Boss - Frankenroid
3. Either version of the Frankenroid can jump, punch, warp players to Hidden Street: Entrance to Center Lab, or on rare occasions, drops your HP & MP to 1. It can also blind and poison you, so plenty of curative items should be brought along.
4. Three scenarios can happen:
- Once you have successfully killed Frankenroid and managed to prevent Romeo or Juliet from being killed, talk to the respective NPC and you will be warped to Hidden Street: Traces of Urete. Talk to him, then you will be warped to the previous map again and you will be able to obtain your rewards.
- If you have successfully killed Angry Frankenroid, you will be able to access Urete's Lab at the town of Magatia around the sewers, where a series of quests can be done.
- If you managed to kill either Frankenroids but didn't manage to save Romeo or Juliet, you will not obtain any additional EXP or rewards.
Note:
- For the Mage, not only you must activate your Magic Guard when your party commence bossing, you must also keep an eye on your Magic Guard everytime as the boss has a dispel skill that will cancel off your party members' skills. So be aware of that.
- Bring some All-cure pots if possible.
