What are MapleStory quests?
Quests are tasks that players may perform for NPCs for rewards and experience.
An abundance of quests are available, each with varying level requirements and some having additional requirements such as job, fame or the completion of another quest.
- For example the quest "Building Blackbull's New House" requires 10 fame, a level requirement of 30, and the completion of "Fixing Blackbull's House".
Some quests have quite a low level requirement for their difficulty and are literally impossible to complete straight away.
Different rewards such as experience can be received by the player after completing certain quests, and some have substantial rewards. Some quests can be redone after completing it for the first time, though the reward(s) and given EXP may not be the same (all jump quests are repeatable with random rewards).
What are MapleStory Party Quests/Accompaniments?
Party quests ("PQs") are organized quests in which a party of several people must be created in order to enter. Unlike regular quests, they can be done again and again. Party quests are extremely popular because they give items and thousands of experience points.Party quests come in three basic varieties: The Boss Quests, which doesn't have a maximum level and is done for the sole purpose of defeating the boss at the end; Cooperative Party Quests, where players must work together to get through puzzles and defeat monsters; the remaining variety is the Competitive Party Quest, where groups of players either form teams or compete individually, and rewards are given based on victory or defeat.
What are MapleStory jumping quests?
A jump quest is simply a quest that requires you to reach a certain distance and retrieve items which are required for a quest. The character must jump across several platforms to reach a portal, usually located at the top or far right of the map. The items are located at the end of the quest in the form of an NPC which the player must double click to retrieve the items. The first time the quest must be completed is usually as part of a quest given by an NPC. These quests may be repeated for 2 random ores, depending on the jumping quest, harder quests giving better ores. There are often obstacles to make the quest more difficult. These range from super enemies who have extremely high evasion, but only do 1 damage, to varying obstacles that will knock you off your platform (also doing 1 damage). Recently, GlobalMS has limited the amount of times that a character can complete the quest to once a day to prevent 'ore botting' hacks.
