Bypassing EMS IP block -no proxy-

I was curious about this, and it works perfectly. The reason I said "without a proxy" will make itself apparent, just stay with me here.

First of all, you'll need to download EMS. The downloads page uses annoying Javascript to spaz about your country, so just download directly from here. Setup.zip and ManualPatch.exe can be downloaded, though the others are IP blocked for EUR only. Make sense to anyone else?

Now then, you're going to need a proxy application. Any program that can proxy based solely on a given port or IP address will do. I personally used Proxifier for this task. As you can see, it isn't free. The moral thing to do is pay, unlike Pirates who keep the authorities at Bay. Being kind to keep in mind the hard work of their day.

Next, you'll need a proxy based in Europe. I often use Samair but there are others out there:

Now then, for configuring the proxy. Remember, you must be able to proxy based on at least the destination IP or destination port. It helps if it can also filter based on process name/path so you don't accidentally proxy something else.
Destination IP: 109.234.73.11*
Destination Port: 8484
*Note: there may be more than one login server IP, probably three of them if it's the same as GMS, which means anywhere from 9-13.

So, why is that so special? Because 109.234.73.11:8484 is the login server. And with this setup, you will go through the proxy -only- on the login server. Once you choose your character and login, you connect to the channel server, and you are no longer using the proxy! See now?
