All rings are not stackable, you can only wear 1 of each (adventurer, resistance, lirin). this has been patched in gms already as a bug whereever you may have seen it previously

adventurer crit/cruel ring loses their ADDITIONAL crit dmg in the big bang patch
magical ring MAY or may not lose their additional crit dmg. (after all, there are many many kmst patches to go for the two remaining phases of the big bang series of patches)

however, you have to take note that the way CRIT works will change in the bigbang patch. EVEN SE.

SOME BIG BANG PATCH INFO

All jobs get a base crit of 5% chance of doing 1.2x~1.5x dmg
this is then modified by your skills, potential item skills, SE, Thorns etc.

eg: holy critical skill of bishops will give them a +50% base crit rate with holy spells.
with genesis, genesis will have a base 20% more crit rate, thus bringing genesis crit rate to 75%.
SE30 will give 20% increased critical rate and 30% increased maximum crit damage

so a bishop using a crit ring will have 85% crit rate using genesis and 65% crit rate using big bang.
a bishop with SE30/crit ring will get 100% crit rate using genesis (with the maximum crit dmg range increased to 1.8x)
a bishop with SE30/crit ring will get 75% crit rate using bigbang (HOLY) (with the maximum crit dmg range increased to 1.8x)

a bishop with a magical ring will have a 75% crit rate of using genesis at (1.2x~1.5x dmg), 5% crit rate of using genesis at (1.2x~1.5x)*1.2, and 20% of normal dmg.
a bishop with a SE30/magical ring will have a 95% crit rate of using genesis at (1.2x~1.8x dmg), 5% crit rate of using genesis at (1.2x~1.8x)*1.2, and 0% of normal dmg.

however, it remains to be seen. because the magical ring gives +5ma, +5ma could mean alot (1 ma can mean anyway from 2~8 INT depending on your level, so 5ma = 10int~40int), and 5% chance of 20% EXTRA crit dmg might even out in the long run for mages. but thats a big if, and no one has done any dps testing on a mage/bishop with big bang patch to compare 2 rings yet.

some RUDIMENTARY calculations for crits after the big bang patch with a crit range of 1.2x~1.8x:
assuming 1000 attacks at 1000 dmg each.

without crit it is

1000x1000 = 1000000 (1m dmg)

with adv crit ring of 10% crit without additional crit dmg

900 x 1000 + (100 x 1000 x crit dmg)
=900000 + (120000~150000)
1020000~1050000 dmg
~~~
with magical ring of 5% crit + 20% crit dmg)
950 x 1000 + (50 x 1000 x crit dmg x 1.2)
=950000 + (60000x 1.2~ 60000x1.5) =
=1022000~1090000
I've already shown vaguely that
a) crit ring adds roughly 2%~5% to your dmg based on crit alone (excluding wa/ma differences + instant kill capability)
b) magical ring adds roughly 2.2%~ 9% of your dmg (excluding wa/ma differences and lack of instant kill)
c) cruel ring is out of the question since 5% extra crit rate without any additional crit dmg doesn't make it superior to the magical ring (I think)
~~~~~~~~
it may be possible magical ring may be 0.2% till 4% superior to the critical ring, however, you never know if asiasoft will nerf and remove the additional 20% crit dmg increment on the magical ring after big bang patch.

the main thing to consider, is +1wa & 80more hp & potential instant ko (differential of magical ring vs crit ring) > 0.2%~4% dmg differential

instant ko must consider the superior > 200k hp mobs that will soon come in play.

if you can't decide, BUILD two ring mules.
~~~
Only an adventurer character can obtain the ring and transfer it ONCE via storage.
this means KOC, Aran, Evan , wildhunter, battlemage, mechanic, dualblade cannot get this ring from the NPC.
You cannot mix rings. adventurer ring cannot be worn together with lirin or resistance rings. if you can now. eventually it will be removed cos its a BUG that you can.
there are TWO ways to get the ring.
(for characters below level 10)
you must train from lvl 10-50 and not skip any of the quests given by cassandra at levels 10,20,30,40,50 for obtaining the ring. if you skip any of them by overleveling (to be checked) then too bad for you. you have to start over or do the explorer +30 level quest once you hit lvl 50
OR
(for characters above level 50) you must gain 30 levels on your current character.
considering this event last a month, if you are > lvl 100 i think you are better off making a ring mule by training a new lvl 1 character till lvl 50.
if you are in level 10~lvl 50, then you can use the first option. create a new character and transfer the ring via the storage OR you can train till level 50 and pick up the "explorer +30 quest" and then train till 80
