1.0 Story line

The Dark Lord. It’s an unfortunate name, for it brings up images of evil and fear. Yet the one who bears that title does so not because he is evil, but because he spends so much time in the dark, battling against the things that would bring Maple World down. It’s a high and lonely destiny, one borne well by all those who have carried the title.
The former Dark Lord was a great man who spent his life fighting against the forces of darkness. As all Dark Lords must, he had carefully groomed possible successors. His two greatest students were a young man named Jin and his own daughter, who is known to us now only as ‘Lady Syl.’ Both were excellent students, people of great strength and moral character and he cherished and loved both of them. In turn, Lady Syl and Jin revered their teacher and developed a great affection for each other. Times were happy as they all trained and worked together.
The trouble began with an urgent request from Tristan, the Dark Lord’s friend. It seemed that Balrog had been resurrected and was destroying Victoria Island. The Dark Lord immediately headed out to help but when he arrived in Sleepywood, his friend Tristan was nowhere to be found. He eventually tracked down Balrog and faced him in mortal combat. Alas, Balrog is a foe not so easily beaten for his evil is not merely physical, but spiritual as well. The Dark Lord lost his focus for a split second and allowed Balrog’s evil to slip past his shields – and he lost his soul. The Dark Lord had become one of the very monsters he had spent his life defeating and began attacking Kerning City.
Jin, who had followed his master against his wishes, witnessed everything. In despair and agony, he tried to appeal to the thing that was his former master, trying to get it to remember the man of virtue and honor he once was. Alas, it was no use! Jin knew what he would have to do, what his true master would have wanted and he defeated the monster that wore his master’s beloved face. Tears stinging his eyes, Jin carried the body back home to bury him in honor and succeed him as Dark Lord.
As it happened, Balrog claimed two victims that day. Lady Syl, her mind and soul shattered by the loss of her beloved father, blamed Jin for not protecting him. In time she came to believe that Jin had even engineered her father’s death in order to take his position as Dark Lord. Nothing Jin could say or do could convince her that she was mistaken, that he would have given anything to save her father’s life and that he never wanted to become Dark Lord in this way. It did not work. Lady Syl’s heart grew cold and bitter, hating the man she had loved with a cold fury that was like a wall of ice between them.
The last time they saw one another, Jin made one last entreaty to Lady Syl, begging her to remember her father’s honor and greatness and the love they had once shared. Lady Syl merely promised him that when the end came, his death would rival her father’s in pain and anguish.
Now there is a secret war raging in the heart of Kerning City. Lady Syl and her Dual Blades continue her struggle against the Dark Lord from an unknown location simply known as the ‘Secret Garden.’ Her new organization is growing in strength and more and more skillful Rogues are disappearing. The Dark Lord knows that Lady Syl is getting ready to make her move, though he does not yet know what that move will be.
Meanwhile, a man named Ryden in a back alley of Kerning City begins talking to travelers here and there, making an interesting offer.
At the Secret Garden, Lady Syl takes care of her plants, gathers her forces and nurses her ever-growing rage and bitterness towards the Dark Lord.
Yet in the silence of her empty heart, a tiny ember of something she’d long thought extinguished remains. Whether it can burst into flame before she and the Dark Lord destroy one another, no one knows.

Over Dual Blade Skill/Mastery Books:
Ja ze zullen te koop zijn in de cash shop.
Dit is bevestigd door Nexon nadat iemand op het Duitse maple forum hiernaar vroeg.
De vraag is nu natuurlijk of die Skill/Mastery Books ook gewoon te krijgen zullen zijn van monster drops.

Yes they will be able to buy in the cash shop.
It has been confirmed by Nexon after someone has asked about it on the German Forum.
Of course it's the question if these books are going to be drops.

1 Point in Mirror Image still boosts your damage and since it doesn't consume any Summon Rocks it's still very usefull during your grinds, we also max Bloody Storm this will be your main mobbing for now, after Bloody Storm it's time for Flying Assaulter great damage and you can combine it with other skills (will talk about that later). 1 point in Owl is just for fun. Now we're going to max Mirror Image, it's a great skills which makes training easier. Upper Stab is next, the skill is über fast and strong. After Upper Stab it's time for Dead Owl, this can boost your damage insane with the effect! Now it's time for Tornado Spin to give you more mobility and rush the monsters to one side. Advanced Dark Sight is next, this is only helpfull once your using Chains of Hell. Now Flash Bang, don't really know why you just got to much SP left. The rest of your SP can be put in Nimble Body.

Blade Master:
Well.. Just every other job it depends on how you grind and how much money you got. l haven't experienced a lv. +120 Dual Blader so l can't talk about this...

x3Ren has also made a Pre-BB skill build l'm posting the link just to make sure the thread won't crash.
Pre-BB skill build by x3Ren

5.0 AP contribution
Dual Bladers are thiefs their main stats is LUK, but you'll also need DEX to wear higher lv. equips and weapons.

5.1 Regular DEX
You just add as much dex as you need to wear your lv. equips and weapons. This is not recommend nor good.

5.2
Base DEX
You cap your DEX at 40-70 DEX and use equips that add DEX so you'll still be able to wear high lv. weapons and equips. This is really recommend.

5.3 Dex less
You don't add any more DEX then the required 25 DEX, you'll be using low lv. equips and Maple or Alien PQ Event weapons. This is not recommend, since this isn't a good match with potential system.

5.4 STR Dual Blader
You may put some AP points into STR but most of the STR should come out of your equips, you can wear STR dagger which add more attack then LUK dagger, you'll also have to think about Regular DEX or Base DEX. This is only recommend if you don't have to put any AP points into your STR

_____________________________________________________________________________________

6.0 Training Spots
It's recommend to train at maps with big spawn, since Dual Bladers can easily kill big groups of monsters. The Best maps would have big flat platforms so you can use Slash Storm, Bloody Storm, Flying Assaulter or Tornado spawn for rushing them to one side of the map and then kill them with Triple Stab or Upper Stab, these 'combos' will be explainded later.

7.0 Skill Combos
Dual Blader skills are easy to combine so you get one smooth powerfull attack. This has been made by x3Ren from Basilmarket, all credits are for him.

You hear all these short names for skill combos such as FATSUS or FABSUS, those are skill combos that a Dual Blade can connect. However FA or Flying Assaulter needs to be at least level 10 while TS (Tornado Spin) and BS (Bloody Storm) have to be maxed in order for it to work. US is simply a skill that can be used with the combo even at level 1. There are many combos actually and they all fit different circumstances to help avoid damage, to increase exp rate per hour, to destroy monsters quickly. Here I will explain when and where and why to use them. And also explain some tricks you can learn to help with training.

Flash Jump + Flying Assaulter: This is good trick that requires timing. Remember to have self haste on. You basically jump + Flash Jump and Flying Assaulter. After that you can simply use either Bloody Storm or Tornado Spin. When doing this, you can make sharp turns to FA at. If you Jump and Flash Jump to the right, you can make a quick turn left and Flying Assault. This helps avoid damage from mobs (Touch damage that makes you fall) or helps save you from falling off of ledges if there's not enough room to jump. You can practice this skill even with level 1 Flash Jump, it's just a bit difficult but if you can do it with a level 1 FJ, you can definitely do it with a max level. Have fun! Here's a pic of how it looks. Click and Click

FATSUS aka Flying Assaulter + Tornado Spin + Upper Stab: The basic rush + rush even more to the side and upper stabbing the monsters you rush and aren't killed yet. You spam Upperstab to destroy the monsters and simply move on else while repeating it. This helps with exp per hour. Good for flat areas such as long platforms. Be aware that after using FATS during FATSUS, if you're at the edge, you might get hurt and fall off the ledge. (After Chaos Patch, after getting thorns, we wouldn't have to worry cause of Stance!
Click
to see how FATS is done. After FATS is done, just spam Upperstab.

FABSUS aka Flying Assaulter + Bloody Storm + Upperstab: This move basically helps you avoid damage and kills a monster quickly as FA + BS combo is the strongest unless you use US in the beginning. Anyways using this combo helps you avoid damage thus lowering pot costs each round. You'll level a bit slower just using this combo though but if you don't mind and rather save pot costs, then be my guest! Using upperstab after you avoid a monster makes them pushed back enough to spam upperstab until they perish. Have fun!

FATSBS aka Flying Assaulter + Tornado Spin + Bloody Storm: Not a move where you might use a lot. Basically use it when the map's huge. After using FATS, sometimes the monsters are pushed far and into a perfect group, if the monsters are weaken enough for a 840% + one hit kill, simply use Bloody Storm to wipe them off since Bloody Storms attack damage = Flying Assaulter.

FATSUSBS aka Flying Assaulter + Tornado Spin + Upper Stab + Bloody Storm: One of my favorite moves that I use more than ever now. This moves help with saving pots and avoiding a lot of damage. When you're in a higher level, monsters that you FATSUS will attack you after you spam US more. Before you US again, try Bloody Storming through the mob as the monsters are in the air, they will get more damage from US's effect and most likely kill them all in one shot. Use this when not wanting to spam upperstab as it might not kill all of them really quick since BS hits more mobs than Upper Stab does.

FA + US aka Flying Assaulter + Upper Stab: Best used for places with short platforms with mobs. Lets say there's too much monsters to FATSUS/FABSUS and if you use those combos, you'll fall off the ledges. This is a good combo to use to avoid that.

Jump + US + FA + TS/BS + More: Jump while using Upperstab and do a quick Flying Assaulter. This is a good move to use since Upper stab gives the next move you do that hits the monster in the air more damage. Use this when wanting to do extra damage to the first amount of mob you rush. Why? Remember flying assaulter and all your moves does hit mobs but they have a set limit. When training, you'll be killing a lot of mobs, it's best to not rush too much or there be monsters left over. This is also a very fun combo to use. Use TS or BS afterwards depending on the situation or more other moves. Here's a pic of how it starts, Jump + FA , the rest is on your own.

US + BS: A move you can use to kill a group of monsters as a finisher after spamming US. Hit them as the monsters are on the air. Good for using it against monsters that hit too much, too fast and such. Use this when you gathered too much mobs and US can't hit them all. Click

Owl Spirit and Flash bang: Use Flash Bang on a group of mobs you FATSUS or FABSUS or any other combos that left a group of monsters still alive with little bit of health. Throw the Flash Bang and finish them off and continue killing other monsters. Before 4th job, basically spam your Owl Spirit whenever you get a chance to increase exp per hour. It may not seem like a huge difference but you can actually save 10 minutes or more simply using it all the time.

8.0 Macros and Keyboard Layout

Dual Bladers are having a lot of skills, so it's helpfull to put them into macros. But which skill should go with which skill and where should l put them? Booster lasts as long as Haste once it's maxed, so you can put them into one macro l would put Mirror Image or Thorns after one of those, always put the skill that lasts the shortest at the begin of the macro, put the skill that lasts the longest at the end.

Dual Bladers will also get some attack that are having a cooldown, think about Flash Bang, Dead Owl and Final Cut. It's recommend to put them on your shortlist so you can see when you can reuse them.

Use your Buffs while your on a robe or ladder, you'll use the buffs faster since the frames are shorter and faster and you won't die since you can't use post during Buffing.
