It took me a couple hours to find a decent guide on this when my IP was banned, so this guide will hopefully save you some time.
IP changing
1. Keep this guide open in your browser
2. Open a new browser and enter www.ipchicken.com - [pic]
- I suggest you write this down on a piece of paper.
- Later on your internet will go out for a minute while your IP changes.
3. Open a new tab and go to 192.168.1.1
- This is used to access your routers information
4. Unless you have changed you password, the username and password admin.
- If that doesn't work, try leaving the password blank
- If that doesn't work, ask mom or dad what the password is.
5. Once you login, a page will open with your routers brand on it.
6. On my router (linksys) there is a page called setup, yours should have something similar.
7. Once you have navigated to that page, one of the sub tabs should be labeled MAC Adress Clone. - [pic]
8. In that tab there will be 6 boxes with a variety of numbers and letters.
- Write this down
Look to the last two boxes, they are the important ones.
9. Change both of the values to ANY number 1 - 9 or any letter A - F. - [pic]
- In each box, there can be 2 number, 2 letters , or 1 of each.
10. Make sure to press save changes.
Congratulations, you are done with the technical part.
11. Navigate the area in your house where you can find a router, and unplug that sucker.
12. Unplug your wireless router. (if you have one)
13. Do whatever you want to kill 2 minutes of your life.
14. Plug in your router
15. Plug in your wireless router.
16. Wait for router to "fire up"
Pause, for a moment...bout 15 seconds is fine.
17. Turn your router off then back on.
18. Break out that piece of paper with your "old" IP on it.
19. Wait for your internet to go back on.
20. Go to www.ipchicken.com

Although in the time it takes you to do this, they will get bored and stop.
