End Results -
Maxed Magic Mastery
Maxed Ice Breath

Reasons -
Magic Mastery has to be maxed first to provide a more stable damage. Next, Ice Breath is maxed as it is a mobbing skill and definitely should be pumped first before Elemental Reset.

Suggested Skill Builds

Aggressive Build
Level 50 : 3 Magic Flare [You can pump level 1 Magic Shield here]

Level 58 : 3 Magic Shield
Level 59 : 3 Magic Shield
Level 60 : 3 Magic Shield (Maxed)

End Results -
Maxed Magic Flare
Maxed Magic Shield

Reasons -
As Magic Shield is not much useful for training or PQing and can be irritating to keep using it after every 40 secs especially if you are training, it is better to pump Magic Flare for damage. You can pump 1 Magic Shield at level 50 for protection if you think that is will come into handy. (Note : There is no point maxing Magic Shield first, because it protection level at maxed is not high.)
6th Mastery

Level 69 : 2 Magic Booster; 1 Critical Magic

Level 71 : 3 Critical Magic [If you have troubles getting Critical Magic Mastery Book, then leave it at Level 5]
Level 72 : 3 Critical Magic

Level 76 : 3 Magic Booster
Level 77 : 2 Magic Booster (Maxed);1 Slow
Level 78 : 3 Slow
Level 79 : 3 Slow
Level 80 : 3 Slow (Maxed)

End Results -
Maxed Critical Magic
Maxed Dragon Thrust
Maxed Magic Booster
Maxed Slow

Reasons -
Dragon Thrust is a mobbing skill and the damage is higher than Ice Breath, therefore maxing it first is easier to train. However, Level 11 Magic Booster is needed to boost up the speed. (Note : Level 11 Magic Booster already -3 casting speed). Personally, I think that casting speed is more important than Critical Magic.
Attack Speed Build
Level 60 : 3 Magic Booster

Level 76 : 3 Magic Booster
Level 77 : 2 Magic Booster (Maxed); 1 Slow
Level 78 : 3 Slow
Level 79 : 3 Slow
Level 80 : 3 Slow (Maxed)

End Results -
Maxed Critical Magic
Maxed Dragon Thrust
Maxed Magic Booster
Maxed Slow

Reasons -
Magic Booster will increase your casting speed for the other skills and can boost your training speed. (At Level 11, Magic Booster already is -3 speed) Dragon Thrust is a mobbing skill and therefore can further boost your training speed.

Level 99 : 3 Magic Resistance
Level 100 : 3 Magic Resistance (Maxed)

End Results -
Maxed Magic Amplification
Maxed Breath
Maxed Killer Wings
Maxed Magic Resistance

Reasons -
Magic Amplification adds damages to your existing skills, therefore i suggest you maxed it first since Breath requires you to hold the skill key to maximize the damage. However, if you are training on monsters that are weak against fire element, you should pump Breath first. Magic Resistance is the least useful skill in this mastery, so it should be pumped the last.

Suggested Skill Builds

I will not provide a detailed skill build, I will only a simple skill build guide because not everybody get the mastery books and/or skillbooks at the same rate/order.
Simple Skill Build –
Maxed Blessing of the Onyx
Maxed Blaze
Maxed Dark Fog
Maxed Soul Stone
Remaining SP – 13 SP
Note: This is a calculated/estimated value, it may turn out differently in-game.
Calculations: 1 Level Up -> 3 SP, 1st – 6th & 10th Mastery -> Extra 3 SP at each activation level, 7th-9th Mastery -> Extra 5 SP at each activation level
Therefore,
1st Mastery – 11 X 3 SP + 7 SP (From Quests) = 40 SP (Max all Skills)
2nd Mastery – 11 X 3 SP + 7 SP (From Quests) = 40 SP (Max all Skills)
3rd Mastery – 11 X 3 SP + 7 SP (From Quests) = 40 SP (Max all Skills)
4th Mastery – 11 X 3 SP + 7 SP (From Quests) = 40 SP (Max all Skills)
5th Mastery – 11 X 3 SP + 7 SP (From Quests) = 40 SP (Max all Skills)
6th Mastery – 21 X 3 SP + 2 SP (From Quests) = 65 SP (Max all Skills)
7th Mastery – 20 X 3 SP + 5 = 65 SP (Max all Skills)
8th Mastery – 20 X 3 SP + 5 = 65 SP (Max all Skills)
9th Mastery – 40 X 3 SP + 5 = 125 SP (Max all Skills)
10th Mastery – 41 X 3 SP = 123 SP (Max all Skills + 13 SP Remaining)

Hence, in conclusion, Evan is able to max all skills.

Q & A for Evan
Character Development/Creation -

Q : How to create Evan?
A : The Usual Method, just that you need to click the Evan Pic (The Pic can be found at the top of the post)

Q : I would like to change class to Evan, can I?
A : Of course not.

Q : So….just what is so unique about Evan? Does Evan use Combo Too?

A : Evan has 2 unique features. 1st is that Evan command its dragon to attack instead of attacking himself while the other is that Evan do not have need to have job advancement because it is automatically advanced upon reaching the level. Evan does not use Combo, Combo is meant to be a unique thing for Aran.

Q : Since Evan does not have Max MP Increase, won’t Evan’s MP be low?
A : No. Evan MP is not low because at every advancement of mastery, Evan’s MP will be increased quite significantly.

Q : What about Evan’s HP? Will it be as low as a Magician?
A : It will be relatively low compared to other classes. However, Evan has higher HP than the regular Magician.

Skills Related -

Q : Will Evan have Bless of Fairy/Empress Blessing?
A : Yes. It is the same formula.

Q : Is it true that Evan will have more SP than Aran or KoC or Adventurers?
A : Yes. This is because Evan gain additional SP from quest.

Q : When Magic Guard and Magic Shield is combined, will that means that my HP will not be reduced when hit?
A : Of course not. Magic Shield will take effect first (which means u will receive 70% of the damage) and Magic Guard will then minus 70% of the reduced damage from your MP instead of HP.
For example, when you receive 1000 damage from a monster, Magic Shield will reduce it to 700 damage while Magic Guard will split it to 210 damage to your HP and 490 damage to your MP.

Q : Can I save my SP gained from 1 Master Level for another Master Level?
A : No. Anyway, Evan is able to max all skills in the mastery.

Q : Evan has long casting time, isn’t that bad?
A : Indeed, Evan main weakness lies in the long casting time of the skills. However, this is compensated with Evan’s high damage. Also, Evan’s Skill Delay (another word for casting time) was significantly reduced in the MapleStory Chaos Update.

Equipments Related to Evan -

Q : What equipments does Evan wears?
A : Evan is able to wear any equipments that a regular Magician wears. However, do take note that Evan is only able to command his Dragon when wielding a Staff or Wand.

Q : How do I obtain Dragon Glasses?
A : You are able to obtain it by completing the Event Quest by Cassandra. Do Take Note that you will not be able to obtain it anymore after the event period ends. This is the same for the Dragon Glasses’ Scrolls.

Q : Isn’t Dragon’s Glasses useless since it only gives HP and MP?
A : No, it is not useless because you will gain 4 100% scrolls in total to scroll it. (+2 WA,+4 Ma, +2 All Stats in total). Take Note that the scrolls are not 100% in GMS.

Q : So…….Dragon’s Glasses will still have 1 more slot, what use does it have?
A : There is a use for it, you can scroll it with a normal Eye Accessory Scroll or Chaos Scroll.
Other Stuffs Related to Evan -

Q : Will there be a free slot given for Evan?
A: Yes.

Q : Will there an Evan ‘exclusive’ wardrobe?

A : Yes. All Cash Items will therefore cannot be transferred unless of the same class.

Q : Does Evan start on Maple Island?
A : No. Evan starts off at Utah’s Farm

Q : Can I do skip the Evan Quests?
A : I will strongly advise you not to do it as some Quests gives SP and the Quests are chained (meaning, the quest requires you to complete the quests before it).
