Just a group of friends getting bored of training resistance, when charlessssss came up with this crazy idea of trying out pinkbean less our usual squad...Its a crazy run...Just sharing the video, dont laugh please...

We aren't really prepared...just came up with the idea an hour before we enter...glad it was down... It was kinda stressful, wont be doing such stunts anytime in near future.

Before taking on Pink Bean, the player must complete a series of quests in order to progress through Time Temple which all involve taking out 999 of a certain mob in a certain area in addition to killing the Area Boss there once. Once this is all done, the Player can progress deeper into the Time Temple until reaching the very end. Pink Bean currently holds the title of the strongest boss in the game. A damage of over 140k is needed to knock it back. This bossfight is designed in a similar manner to Ergoth and his statues. However unlike Ergoth, this bossfight contains 6 phases.
Phases 1 to 5 involves in killing the statues whereas Pink Bean is untouchable. Pink Bean can buff the statues and cast unfriendly buffs on you when he 'plays'. Not until phase 6, Pink Bean starts getting serious directly attacking you.
With each phase, it is highly recommended that the whole party focuses on one statue before moving off to the other rather than dividing efforts in killing all the statues.

Pink BeanPhase 1

By 'speaking' to the NPC Kirsten in the bossroom, Phase one begins with Wiseman Solomon being the only boss able to attack you. Wiseman Solomon has three attacks:
  • A lightning attack that can Seal
  • An attack that can reduce your HP/MP to 1 and Stun
  • Slams it's staff into the ground dealing physical damage and inflicting Slow.
Once Wiseman Solomon is defeated, Phase 2 Begins

Pink BeanPhase 2

Once Phase 2 begins, Wiseman Solomon is revived and Wiseman Rex becomes active. The party must wipe out both before being able to continue. Wiseman Rex has three attacks and one skill:
  • A lightning attack that can inflict Darkness
  • An attack that can reduce your HP/MP to 1 and Zombify
  • Slams it's staff into the ground dealing physical damage and inflicting Poison.
  • Can use Dispel that also gives the Confuse buff (the one that muddles up keyboard).
It is advisable to take down Wiseman Rex before taking down Wiseman Solomon as he can be more dangerous due to his 'Zombify' buff and his 'Dispel' skill. Bishops also need to be wary when the Zombify buff is cast as their Heal can most likely KO many of their team mates.
Once both of these statues are down, Phase 3 Begins.

Pink BeanPhase 3

This time, both Wisemen will be revived and the Huigin statue will be joining the fight. Huigin is a fire based Statue (meaning it's resistant to Fire but weak to Ice) that has two attacks and six skills:
  • Inflicts fire based damage with Slow
  • Deals an AoE attack (which can be recognised by markers on the ground) that can Stun.
  • Can cast Physical and Magical damage reflect
  • Can also cast Seal, Weakness, Physical Attack and Magic Defense up.
As with the previous stage, take out Wiseman Rex first before moving onto Huigin and Wiseman Solomon.
Again once all three of the statues are defeated, phase 4 begins.

Pink BeanPhase 4

The three statues defeated earlier have once again been revived and now the Munin statue joins in. Munin is Huigins counterpart and is Ice Based rendering it resistant to ice leaving Fire as it's weakness. It has two attacks and 2 skills:
  • Inflicts ice based damage with Darkness
  • Has a physical attack that inflicts the Confuse buff (or the Crazy Skull buff)
  • Can cast Seduce
  • Can cast Mapban, a skill that boots a player out of the room rendering them to reenter the room.
Take out Munin and Wiseman Rex first before moving on to take down the rest.
Once all four statues are defeated, phase 5 begins.

Pink BeanPhase 5

Once again, the 4 statues that were defeated earlier has revived again and now, the goddess statue Ariel joins in. Ariel is the strongest of all the statues and is resistant to Fire, ice and Lightning as well as immune to Holy making Poison the only element able to harm it. Ariel has 6 different skills:
  • Regenerates HP and MP
  • Can cast Zombify and Dispel
  • Can summon a Poison Fog
  • Can cast super weapon and magic defense up.
  • Genesis, rotating markers on the ground show where they launch, genesis cannot hit the top platform.
Take out Ariel first as she is the strongest statue here. Once she's down, go for the Munin and Wiseman Rex before taking out the rest.
Once all 5 statues are defeated, phase 6 begins.

 

Finale

This time, the statues won't be revived and now Pink Bean himself joins the battle. Pink Bean is strong to Neutral, Fire, Ice and Holy rendering Poison and Lightning the only element that are effective. Pink Bean has a total of 4 attacks and many different skills:
  • Can cast a fullscreen AoE skill that resembles an upside down version of Genesis, which can deal a whopping damage of 11,000.
  • Can cast a skill that resembles the Archmages Big Bang skill.
  • Can attack with a megaphone that rains treble clef notes on nearby players.
  • Can slam it's tail summoning minibeam like projectiles shooting up at players.
  • Can cast a unique debuff that reduces the effects of healing potions by half.
  • Can cast mapban, Zombify and other debuffs.

3.0 - STRATEGY OVERVIEW

My approach to pink bean has various parts from different strategies. In this box you will find a briefing of how i plan to approach it for each stage. (each jobs roles will be explained in detail later)

Stage 1 – simple, sign up, use all buffs before entering, spawn in the map, everyone but the OB (oak barreller) starts attacking right away and let L1 have it!, OB will go do his stuff. Once finished everyone stays where they are and rebuff etc.

Stage 2 – again, quite simple, once the statues “refresh”, oak barreller continues doing his job, everyone will start attacking L1 again. When he dies, everyone moves over to right where R1 is, rebuff and what not if needed, OB does his trick, and everyone starts attacking R1 as soon as they can. When R1 dies, everyone moves right.

Stage 3 – slightly trickier this time, but still simple. While moving right to kill L1, L2 will cast DR (damage reflect), but it has 0 effect on you anyways since you wont be attacking this till later, OB does his job. When L1 dies, all attackers must WAIT for damage reflect to show up on L2, warriors may go onto mid platform at this point. (yes, this could waste up to a minute, but this way we are safe, and we make use of melee attackers which should make up for it).once damage reflect is over, ranged attackers will attack from the floor and melee on the mid platform, when 50 seconds past, we wait for reset to show up again to avoid deaths, When L2 dies everyone moves right and start killing R1. Ob continues to do his job. When R1 is nearly dead, Archers use SE when told, and all melees(including the oak barrelers) move to the left side of the map apart from dark knights and ranged attackers who stay on the right side.

STAGE 4 - things start to become tough and you need to be more aware here. especially with oak barrel gone for a bit, We have divided the teams into 2 groups, group M (melee) who are have just moved to the left side of the map, and group R who remained on the right (ranged).
1) Group M who are on the left side will start attacking L1. Mean while Group R will attack R2 (apart from dark who instead will attack L2 because they cant reach R2). (yes the one that seduces is R2, this one should go down because well ranged attackers deal more duh? And there are more of them). Remember to stay in the position shown for your classes to avoid seducing the entire team. One mistake here could cost us dearly.
2) Once R2 goes down, Group R can now move safely over to left side and kill L1, the OB can once again start using OB. With R2 down, its just like stage 3 again. When L1 dies, all attackers must WAIT for damage reflect to show up on L2. (yes, this could waste up to a minute, but this way we are safe, and we make use of melee attackers which should make up for it). ).once damage reflect is over, ranged attackers will attack from the floor and melee on the mid platform, when 50 seconds past, we wait for reset to show up again to avoid deaths, When L2 dies everyone moves right and start killing R1. Ob continues to do his job. this time, there is no moving across maps, everyone stays on the right side for the refresh.

STAGE 5 – here is where everything usually wrong for every other server on their first tries. Hopefully we can get it right =D. Remember no oak barrel until R2 is down at least =D. Similar to stage 4 to start with , We have divided the teams into 2 groups again, group M (melee) who are have just moved to the left side of the map, and group R who remained on the right (ranged).
1) Melee attackers will attack R1. Mean while ranged will attack). (yes the one that seduces is R2, this one should go down because well ranged attackers deal more duh? And there are more of them). Remember to stay in the position shown for your classes to avoid seducing the entire team. One mistake here could cost us dearly.
2) Once R2 goes down, once R2 is down ranged will help kill R1 with the melee attackers, the OB can once again start using OB. When R1 dies, all attackers must wait for the barreller to give us the go ahead. (he has to make sure that ariel is not casting gene). When he says go, we run for our lives to the left, because walking near the OB has a possibility of cancelling it and ariel could start attacking again so we have to be quick when moving so that OB can re lure ariel and the rest of the statues, and we don’t want that D=.

3) With all the statues being lured, we kill L1. Once L1 dies, WAIT for damage reflect to show up on L2. (yes, this could waste up to a minute, but this way we are safe, and we make use of melee attackers which should make up for it). ).once damage reflect is over, ranged attackers will attack from the floor and melee on the mid platform, when 50 seconds past, we wait for reset to show up again to avoid deaths, When L2 dies its time for ariel. Ranged attackers ,dark knights and arans must wait and stand in the safety zone. While heroes/paladins move to jump attacking ariel first and maintain that jump attacking position. The reason for this is because when they walk past OB ariel could be no longer lured and must need reluring. The OB will try to regain ariels attention, when done so, he will shout go. Then arans, dark knights, and ranged attackers will move up the ropes to their positions on the top platform. Yes i am aware that dark knights can’t reach up there, they will simply hb when de spelled.

Stage 6 – PINK BEAN! WOOOOOOO
As you already know, pink bean basically has 4.2bil hp due to lowering weapon damage. By this time we would have killed 5.5bil hp =D, At this part we shall decide whether it is worth actually even using anymore apples here based on the time we have left and other factors.

30 minutes remaining - Lets just say, if we have enough attackers still standing, with 30 minutes left to go (i doubt it but who knows), why the not go for it?

Less than 30 minutes remaining - If however we do not have 30 minutes left to go or do but not enough attackers, then i think we will save the apples, and just do some testing to work out what way would do best.

The decisions on what to do i would leave down to the group to decide as i myself aren’t too sure. Remember this is my first run also =D. There are already several strategies that exist to try kill pink bean for phase 6, some of the videos above and links shows you those strategies in theory and in actual runs. I don’t know whether to adopt there strategies for pb or try come up with our own ones. After all, every server is different =D.

If we come to the decision to:

Go for it – i am a determined guy and don’t lose faith so quickly, we have to think fast on our feet if we want to get near killing to killing it. I think we would need 2 strategies to try, a plan A and a plan B. Maybe even plan C if we can come up with one. Obviously we will try plan A, if it seems to be going terribly, we can decide to switch to other strategies. Like a safety net.

All hope is lost – I’m not really one to give up hope, but i do know when it’s completely pointless to bother at all. At a time like this we shall test out different ways to approach bean, i mean it’s not everyday we get to be in the same map as an active pink bean. If even testing hope has been lost, then i suppose we could just have a party with pink bean. If this does happen...... L> pink bean rush game of some sort with the warriors =D
