Judging from Asiasoft's patching pattern, we will probably get it by June Holidays, but no harm creating a thread before it right?

As everybody knows, GMS recently released luminious and they had changed a thing or two about him.
Storyline-wise, they changed the way that luminous can only chose dark side, meaning he black-heartedly left Laina dying in the burning forest.
System-wise, they modified luminious' light vs dark system which you can see below for more details.

The Global MapleStory version of Luminous is a bit different from the version of Luminous in the Korean version of MapleStory. In this version, the quests and skills have been modified to adjust gameplay flow. You won't choose between light/dark in the beginning tutorial, and there will only be one story. The story will be based on the Dark side, wherein Luminous is conflicted about the darkness within him. You will have access to light and dark skills, with the ability to switch between the two and activate buffs that will enhance one or the other attribute.
You will gain the light vs. dark gauge when you complete your 2nd job advancement, at which point you will also be able to switch between light and dark modes.
Equilibrium:
Power Stance has a chance to be activated for a brief period, preventing you from getting knocked back.
Attacking monsters with light skills will recover 1% of your HP.
Dark skills will use 0 MP.
Both effects for light and dark will be applied for attack skills that have an equilibrium attribute.
You will gain the light vs. dark gauge when you complete your 2nd job advancement, at which point you will also be able to switch between light and dark modes.

Equilibrium:

In short, they changed the system to :
-Use light skills to charge light feathers, which enables you to activate Sunfire buff.
-Use dark skills to charge dark feathers, which enables you to activate Eclipse buff.
-Can switch light/dark mode manually, meaning if you love light mode, you can switch to light mode 24/7, same to dark mode.
-You are not forced to switch light/dark skills every times, meaning if you love dark skills, you can just spam Apocalypse 24/7.
But in KMS, it works very differently compared to GMS.

During the tutorial, you are able to select either the Light or Dark path; choosing one will effect your skills. Choosing Light will give you skills that boosts your light and a light attack skill, vice versa if Dark was chosen. After you received your second job advancement, you will get Dark skills alongside with your light skills. Using too many light skills will force your character to enter the Dark mode, your orb will turn purple and your right eye will glow. Entering dark mode will also boost selected dark skills that you have. Using too many dark skills will do the exact opposite, it will turn you into Light mode, your characters eyes will be reverted to normal and the orb will be sky blue. All your light skills now have a boost rather than the dark skills. Also, right before you actually change modes, your character will go into an Equilibrium state, a few skills will have their cooldowns removed and has extra power added, this lasts 10 seconds and 20 seconds in 4th job. Equilibrium can only be activated in 3rd and 4th job.


In short,
-You cannot spam light or dark skills consistently.
-Using too much light skills will increase the damage of dark skills while decreasing the damage of light skills.
-Using too much dark skills will increase the damage of light skills while decreasing the damage of dark skills.
-In order to do the most damage, you must keep switching between using light skills and dark skills, and you can’t spam one attack.
