Firstly, in most MMORPGs, the next release of bosses are usually accompanied with pathways to ensure that you are able to deal sufficient damage, and perhaps at times with some improvements to the gear such as "cubing" and "scrolling", minimal focus on gear, higher focus on skills. This gives is some linearity in moving up the chain of bosses and difficulty.
Secondly, boss mechanics are simply too strange to be true, with the current bosses being divided into Super Easy "Likes of Zakum and Horntail" VS Super Hard "Like CPB, Cyg and of cos Hard Magnus". Potion lock itself is bad enough, but having the boss mechanics run in such a way that Potion Lock can be casted consecutively with Zombiefied means only one thing - sure death. Seduce + 1/1... I believe many of you have encountered this as well... I know how bad it sucks... Although status avoidability is introduced subsequently, Maple came up with something even better... Mass 1HKO skills within the same boss (Magnus)... WOW...
Thus regarding the steepness of slope in terms of difficulty of bosses, and how the focus is more on gears rather than skills for Maple, feel free to share your thoughts!
P.S: If Normal Magnus does not drop Magnus Coin (they only drop Shadow Merchant Coins), then why call it Magnus in the first place (They should rename it into Shadow Merchant in Magnus Form)?
