MapleSEA EXP Stacking Guide

maplestory_25th_anniversary
I always want to use the minimum amount of time to gain the maximum amount of EXP.
The EXP gained per kill seems to play an important role but I would say it’s only 50%, or even less in some scenarios. If you take half the average time to clear a round of monster park, you’d effectively increase your EXP rate by 100%.
Edit: New multiplier information updated. Refer to end of post.
Other factors like mobility, damage, mobbing ability of your skills and lastly, the amount of real currency you’re willing to put in, contribute to the leveling speed greatly.
But in this entry, I will only be going through the EXP factor, mainly on the sources of bonus EXP and how they can be stacked.
If any of the information I’ve provided is false or outdated, kindly correct me(or laugh/criticise/flame/troll/bullshit whatever you like). All the information are mainly from the calculations and observations I have made during my past few years of adventures in MapleStory.
Types of EXP Boost
There are 2 types of EXP boost.
> Multiplier of the base EXP.
> Percentage of the EXP after applying Multiplier.
The base EXP would be the EXP values shown in white.
The Multiplier type directly multiplies the the base EXP by an amount.
The Percentage type adds a percentage of the EXP after applying the Multipliers to your EXP gain, also the EXP values shown in yellow.
EXP Stacking
I’ve separated the different sources of EXP into 8 groups.
Group 1:
> EXP Coupon – 1.2x from CashShop
> EXP Coupon – 1.5x from CashShop
> EXP Coupon – 2.0x from CashShop
> EXP Coupon – 3.0x from CashShop
Group 2:
> Happy Winter – 1.2x for 60 minutes
> Enjoyable Winter – 1.5x for 30 minutes
> Legend Coupon – 1.5x for 30 minutes
> Rest Coupon – 1.3x for 60 minutes
> System Event – 1.5x
> System Event – 2.0x
> System Event – 3.0x (MapleSEA from 0000 to 0015 on 1st Jan 2013)
> Family Rep EXP Boost – 1.2x (2000 points for 30 minutes, 900 points for 15 minutes)
> Family Rep EXP Boost – 1.5x (3000 points for 30 minutes)
Group 3:
> Holy Symbol – 1.5x, lasts up to 3 minutes per buff
Group 4:
> Fairy Pendant – Up to 30% (+10% per hour starting from the time of equip)
Group 5:
> Premium Coupon – 20% from CashShop, lasts 7 days
Group 6:
> EXP Boost Potion – 10% for 120 minutes
Group 7:
> Elven Blessing – 10% to 15% (Mercedes Link Skill)
Group 8:
> Guild Skill, Banner of Experience – 2% to 10%
You’re able to stack 1 from each group. Having 2 of the same group will either have the higher rate in effect or the latest buff used(usually overwrites any existing buffs of the same group).
If you take the highest from each group, not taking the 3x System Event since it’s uncommon,
Multiplier Types: 2.0x, 2.0x, 1.5x (Total 6.0x)
Percentage Types: 30%, 20%, 10%, 15% (Total +75%)
If the monster’s EXP is 1,000,
You will be receiving 6,000 + 4,500 EXP per kill. That’s like 10.5x the original EXP!
Update:
After the recent updates, I’m not quite sure where the percentage EXP are taking from. It’s observed to only take from the base EXP instead of the total so the above EXP gained example is not true. Stacking wise, it should still stands.
04 April 2014 Update:
Found this somewhere and thought I would update it here.
EXP Multipliers
1. Server 2x stacks with 2x Coupon and makes it 4x
2. If you have Holy Symbol, it will become 6x
3. If you have Kanna’s “Kishin Shoukan” it literally adds another 35-45%, depending on your killing speed
4. Elven blessing is FIXED at 15%
5. Fairy pendant is FIXED at 30% (Max)
6. Welcome Back Ring mule is FIXED at 80%
7. Experience Accumulation Potion is FIXED at 10%
8. Enjoyable Winter & other free EXP buffs DO NOT stack with server 2x
Current maximum EXP Multiplier would be
3x EXP Coupon
Holy Symbol
2x EXP Server Event
Premium Coupon
Elven Blessing
Fairy Pendant
Welcome Back Mule
EXP Accumulation Potion
Banner of Experience
Petit Orchid
(3 x 1.5 x 2) + (0.2 + 0.15 + 0.3 + 0.8 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.03) = 10.6
