This is provided the lady luck is with you. You need to be extremely lucky.
This proved I took just 1 additional potential cube from rare rank to epic rank. I bought an additional potential cube in FM for 988m and boom I cubed on my scarlet ring, it turns to EPIC!
Another case, is that when I cubed my fafnir bow, I looted 1 yellow cube and boom the fafnir bow turned from rare rank to epic.
I know you guys will say I bullshit again, this is when you are extremely lucky you will get it! The real case of up-ing a rank is about 200+ cubes anyway.
